www.ithappenstoboys.org - It Happens to Boys was created to help bring male sexual abuse awareness to the forefront of our communities. It was started by Carol Teitelbaum, M.F.T.in 2006 after Carol had a conversation with a local ER doctor who expressed to her, that he felt there was an under reporting of "male" male sexual abuse. Since its inception it has grown to a group of 17 men who meet on a monthly basis to discuss the issues and effects of our abuse in a confidential and safe setting. Together with Creative Change Conferences we have had two conferences with speakers such as David Pelzer, Robert Ackerman and Jerry Moe. They have a group of men, that along with Carol have spoken at schools, recovery centers and on the radio. 24 hour hotline - 760-862-KIDS

Advocates and Attorney's

It has been suggested that you contact your local DA's office when inquiring about an advocate or attorney. There are different advocates and attorney's that handle different types of abuse cases and your local DA's office wil be able to guide you to the right advocate or attorney for your needs.

If you know a child is being abused, rather sexually, verbally or physically, please call 911 Immediately. Let the authorities figure it out. Better safe than sorry. This is an under reported epidemic that only you can change, please help safe a child from a lifetime of fear and uncertainty
